What?!

This is a really weird thing to blog about, but I heard on the (entertainment) news this afternoon that Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment today. Aside from the information itself being really random and shocking, I'm a little sad (I know, I know, I don't even know him). I loved him in 10 Things I Hate About You and especially A Knight's Tale. Strange and sad, hm?

On to a (somewhat) lighter note--we've all been beaten by the flu this last week. Fever, chills, congestion, coughing, dizziness. I'm just about done with it, Reed's pretty much done, but Savvy seems to have just started and Jaxon seems to be making his way through the worst part of it. Phill is strangely immune. And even if he does catch it, he'll probably have it for half the time. He's beastly strong, that man. :) Anyway, yesterday night was pretty bad for me, as I was worried about how I'd be able to take care of the kiddos with how I was feeling and Phill was going back to work today after a very helpful four-day weekend, during which he did ten loads of laundry, four sinkfuls of dishes, made meals and doctored us sickees with utmost patience. So we had a friend come over, and together he and Phill gave me a blessing. Last night I was able to sleep more soundly and comfortably, and this morning I was finally able to breathe through my nose! :) Not only that, but Savvy took a 3-hour nap and Jaxon did, too! (And they actually coincided!!!)

And lastly, on a weird note: Phill accidentally washed his cellphone. In the washing machine. He has tried everything short of CPR to revive it, but nothing doing. And we just updated, too. Good thing we have our old phones. And at least his phone is as clean as it will ever be, right? Right?

So sad about Heath. I loved him too!

Glad you're feeling better. I can't handle being a sick mommy. It's the worst.

It's probably too late for this, but I've heard thru several people that if you put your phone in a bowl of rice right after it gets wet, the phone magically repairs itself. Weird, eh? Good to know for next time I guess :)

Glad you are starting to feel better....hope it's eradicated very quickly.

I washed Joel's cell phone in the washing machine this past summer. In fact, we just haven't had good luck with cell phones at all the past year. :)

So sorry to hear you guys have been sick! I think Isabella has something similar. She's had no appetite all week, has been lying (is that right--I still don't have that rule figured out) around most of the time, fever, runny nose. No fun. I hope we don't catch it and then you guys recover quickly!

So once I pushed Cody into a swimming pool to be funny, he didn't laugh, he was wearing his cell-phone, a company cell-phone, he was so mad at me, anyway verizon said cell phones that get wet NEVER work again so there ya go.
I was sad to hear about Heath, mostly because he has a two yr old, and so do I and I can't imagine leaving her life at this stage, any stage for that matter.

Oh the power of a Preisthood blessing, I have a HUGE testimony of them. Glad you are feeling better.
